The south western corner of Cumbria is dominated by Barrow in Furness, with market towns including Ulverston and Dalton along the peninsula.

Established and hi-tech firms along the peninsula contrast with the rurality of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay.

The population of 100,000 are supported by employment including industry, dominated by BAE Systems, with GlaxoSmithKline and Kimberley Clark amongst the biggest firms.

Brathay enhances the wellbeing of children, young people and families. We aim to work in an integrated way with other services and organisations within Furness. We receive support from organisations and individuals who care about Furness and seek to invest in the community and its future wellbeing.
