Changing Culture Programme

The CHANGING CULTURE PROGRAMME:Cumbria & North Lancs is now open!

In order to transform leadership in the arts and cultural sector and find the next creative leaders, we have teamed up with key partners, The University of Cumbria and Theatre by the Lake to launch this exciting programme.

We love living and working in Cumbria and North Lancashire, but we know that historically there have been lots of barriers for young talented people to progress their careers and achieve leadership positions within arts and culture. We want to ensure that the creative sector remains vibrant and strong, attracting a diverse, energetic and aspiring group of would-be leaders.

We want to provide opportunities for young people from all sorts of backgrounds to realise their potential, gain new skills and position themselves as the next creative leaders. This fully funded course aims to make these opportunities available to a new wave of talent, who ordinarily may not have been able to access them.

Through an innovative combination of classroom learning, leadership residentials, workshops, action learning sets, mentorship and work experience placements, each student will enjoy an individual learning experience. Our students will grow in confidence, build new networks and learn many useful techniques that will guide them through the personal and professional challenges ahead.
