The course is suitable for people who are aspiring leaders in the creative sector – you may be already employed in the arts, volunteering or currently unemployed but ready for a new challenge.
The course is particularly suited to young people aged 18 – 35 living in Cumbria and North Lancashire.
You may be already working in the arts sector, volunteering in the arts sector or simply have an interest in arts leadership but don’t know how to take this further.
You may be currently unemployed but have a passion for the arts and want to develop leadership skills to take you in a new direction.
You may be at the start of your career and aspire to lead but need some support and guidance to help you get there.
You may be a freelancer or sole trader who wishes to develop your arts leadership skills.
You may be involved in the arts in an amateur or voluntary capacity but want to progress.
You may have experienced barriers to developing leadership skills due to financial reasons, social challenges, family responsibilities or issues with health & well-being.
You may live in a village, town or city that is considered to be an area which is rurally isolated or disadvantaged.
You may have a disability or other protected characteristic.
You may have struggled with self-confidence or feel less resilient than some of your peers.
You must be willing and able to develop your leadership skills and want to work in the creative sector.
Applicants must have a minimum of 4 GCSE passes, one of which must be English.
