Experience Europe’s best-known Alpine tour on this spectacular route showcasing everything that the region has to offer.

Join us on this popular expedition and prepare to enter a world of towering snowy peaks, glistening wild water, huge glaciers and beautiful lush green valleys.

If trekking the Tour du Mont Blanc is not already high on your bucket list of treks then it most definitely should be. The route we are offering is among the most iconic multi-day treks in the world, circumnavigating the 4810m massif of Mont Blanc in an anti-clockwise direction while crossing through France, Italy and Switzerland.

You will take in the equivalent amount of ascent as climbing Everest, trekking among glaciated valleys and picturesque wildflower meadows. The route isn't technical but it does require stamina.

What to expect

This really is an outdoor challenge of a lifetime. There are 170 kilometres of remote trails to explore, all the while enjoying an ever-changing backdrop of snowy peaks and beautiful lush green valleys. Because of the physical demands of the route we ask that all participants are fit enough to walk on variable terrain and can comfortably manage 17kms a day carrying a small day pack.

You will walk in a group of 5-8 people with the support of a qualified mountain leader.

More about the trip

The expedition lasts 10 days and you will walk in groups of up to a maximum of 10 people. In total you will cover 170 kms and over 10,000 metres of ascent. Qualified and experienced mountain leaders and advanced first-aiders will accompany you at all times and accommodation is in a mixture of mountain huts, budget hotels and bunk houses. You will self-cater as a group and learn to live, walk, eat and sleep as a close-knit team.

Most of the trek is on distinct waymarked trails in alpine valleys broken up by a number of traverses of higher level passes. There is no roped climbing or rock, snow or ice, though a confidence rope will be offered on some of the rockier paths if required.

Please note: For safety reasons all our routes may vary to accommodate individual abilities within the group, difficult weather conditions and the availability of accommodation.
