Terms and Conditions: Brathay Trust Regular Giving

1. General

These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between Brathay Trust (“we”, “us”, “our”) and you, the donor (“you”), regarding your regular donation to support our charitable work.

By setting up a regular donation, you agree to the terms below.

Brathay Trust is a registered charity in England and Wales (Charity No. 1021586) and a company limited by guarantee (Company No. 02813130).

2. Your Donation

• Your regular donation helps Brathay deliver development programmes that support young people to thrive and achieve their potential.
• Unless specified otherwise, donations are used to support Brathay’s general charitable purposes and priority areas of work.
• All donations are voluntary and non-refundable.

3. Payment Method

• Regular donations may be made by Direct Debit, Standing Order, or debit/credit card, depending on your chosen method at the time of setup.
• By providing your payment details, you authorise Brathay Trust (or our authorised payment provider) to collect the agreed donation amount at the agreed frequency.
• Payments will continue until you choose to amend or cancel your regular donation (see Section 5 below).

4. Amending Your Regular Donation

• You can change the amount or frequency of your regular donation at any time by contacting us.
• Please allow 10 working days for any changes to be processed.

5. Cancelling Your Donation

• You can cancel your regular donation at any time by contacting Brathay Trust or your bank directly.
• Please allow 10 working days’ notice prior to your next scheduled payment.
• Once cancelled, no further donations will be collected.

6. Data Protection and Privacy

• We will process your personal data securely and in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
• Your details are used solely for the purpose of administering your donations and communicating with you about Brathay’s work, unless you have chosen to opt out of communications about Brathay's work.

7. Gift Aid

• If you are a UK taxpayer and have completed a Gift Aid Declaration, Brathay Trust can reclaim 25p in tax for every £1 you donate - at no extra cost to you.
• Please let us know if you:
  • No longer pay sufficient tax to cover the Gift Aid claimed on your donations, or
  • Wish to cancel or update your Gift Aid declaration.

8. Errors and Refunds

• If an incorrect payment or administrative error occurs, please contact us as soon as possible.
• Refunds will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and processed in line with UK charity and financial regulations.
