Brathay Hall is the perfect place for your perfect day. Our grounds and estate building are available to hire for your wedding reception, which includes exclusive use of the site and accommodation.
The backdrop of Windermere and surrounding hills is second to none. Plus we can offer something that very few Lake District establishments can - lakeside access and ample free parking on-site!
We have a stunning front lawn that offers picturesque views of the lake, ideal for a marquee or tipi, providing the perfect setting for your event. We also have a wide range of en-suite rooms and self-catering accommodation for overnight guests. And, we can offer suggestions for excellent local suppliers, from catering and drinks to flowers and much more, to help you in create a truly memorable experience.
What's included in my wedding at Brathay Hall?
- The hire fee is a set price for exclusive use of the whole site over 2 nights (this includes the hall and all accommodation)
- 37 en-suite accommodation and 5 self-catering group properties are available. With a maximum capacity of 186 people staying on-site
- Spacious and smaller rooms in the Main Hall for your own use
- Supplier’s list — we can provide you with recommendations for local suppliers including caterers, photographers, florists, tipis, celebratory cakes and more
- For those wanting a church ceremony you might want to consider Brathay Church. It is a beautiful and intimate building only a short walk from Brathay Hall. Please contact Brathay Church directly for details.
