Our Board of Trustees is recruiting — will you get involved?
We're recruiting a Trustee with finance expertise to join the board of our charity, which supports 7,000 young people a year to enhance their wellbeing and positively engage with their community.
Brathay improves the life chances of children, young people and families through funded support programmes that we deliver within the communities of Yorkshire and Cumbria, plus through immersive outdoor residentials at our headquarters in Ambleside. These programmes respond to the specific challenges young people face today, including: isolation, poor mental health, childhood poverty, unhealthy relationships, risk of exploitation, poor school attendance, risk of offending, long-term unemployment and addiction.
We're seeking an individual with a genuine interest in our vision, who will bring expertise and knowledge and act as an ambassador for Brathay. Members of the Board of Trustees are collectively responsible for the overall governance and direction of the charity to ensure we comply with charity law and other legislation and that we use our resources exclusively in pursuit of our objectives.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the board of a successful charity that has been inspiring young people for over 75 years. Being a Brathay Trustee is a rewarding role that requires dedication and commitment to inspire and support our employees, associates and volunteers.
