Friday 9th September 2016, 12 brave riders will leave Brathay to pedal 262 miles.
The riders will not only be faced with the unenviable task of staying awake for 24 hours, they will also have to battle through physical exhaustion and mental fatigue, whilst navigating in the darkness of a September night, on uneven and mountainous terrain.
With the riders putting their bodies, their minds, and for some their dignity on the line, we are asking you to show your support by donating as much as you can. Yes, do it for the Brathay Trust. But also do it for the bold dozen, who on Saturday 10th September will mostly be found passed out on the lawn from sheer exhaustion.
The route will be on a mixture of terrains and gradients, so no one can complain of a boring course! Some of our riders have in fact previously completed the 10in10 challenge or the Brathay Windermere Marathon, so we know it’s doable, in theory. It will just be extremely hard. Good luck guys!
