We’re incredibly proud to share that Olympic medalist and passionate youth advocate, Fatima Whitbread MBE, has become Brathay Trust’s first-ever official Ambassador.

This is the next step in a growing relationship built on shared values and a deep commitment to young people. Over the past two years, Fatima has been a powerful presence at Brathay events, from delivering a moving keynote in London to welcoming our team to her One Voice Summit, which shines a light on the challenges faced by young people in care.

As someone who grew up in care, Fatima knows first-hand the challenges many young people face and she’s made it her mission to be a voice for those who often go unheard. Through her own charity, Fatima’s UK Campaign, and her work with organisations like Action for Children, she’s been a tireless advocate for young people, inspiring and driving change.

Now, as Brathay’s Ambassador, Fatima brings her passion, insight, and lived experience to our work. Her words say it best:
