Brathay Trust has been awarded a significant development grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, alongside support from the Francis Scott Trust, to launch its Brathay Blueprint: Boats, Buildings and Brighter Futures project. The initiative will help conserve Brathay’s historic lakeside estate, Whaler boat fleet and nationally significant archive, ensuring they remain accessible and relevant for future generations. Coinciding with Brathay’s 80th anniversary, the project will build a sustainable future plan while celebrating the charity’s 80-year legacy in Outdoor Learning and which inspires over 7,000 young people each year.

As part of this work, consultancy opportunities will be available for an Architectural Design Team, Business Development and Audience Development specialists, Evaluation Consultant and a Digital Performance Event Production Company. We will also be seeking museum and conservation professionals in the form of Heritage Boat Conservation and Heritage Archive consultants.
