Brathay Job Fair leads to interviews with top recruiter for M&S

18 July 2022

Young job-seekers in Bradford have been offered interviews with Marks and Spencer after attending our job fair last month.

We were delighted to invite Marks and Spencer’s recruiter GXO, plus staff from Reed and BUPA to join us at our June job fair, offering employment in various roles in warehousing, admin, support work, care work and more. Staff from Bradford College and Princes Trust were also there to chat about the courses they have available to help young people gain desirable qualifications and skills. 60 young job-seekers attended the event with many of them applying for jobs and courses on the spot. GXO were particularly impressed with how well the event was organised and the dedication of our staff:

Sonita and the team were great, they really help and supported the young people who attended with filling out applications. They did a fantastic job in organizing this job fair — I would highly recommend working with Brathay.

Our Bradford Skillshouse Employment Coaches run services to help young people get work-ready and overcome barriers to progression. We help them with CV writing and interview preparation as well as support them once they have secured a job to ensure they settle into the role and organisation. We arrange regular, free job fairs at our Bradford Community Support Centre, our next one will be held in October. Check back here or on our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages for further updates.
