Duty Manager

£26,250 | 40 hours per week | Ambleside, Cumbria

Are you passionate about hospitality and seeking a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Duty Manager to join our Guest Services Team. 

As a Duty Manager, you’ll ensure the smooth running of our venue and customer experience for a broad range of customers and clients.  

To excel in this role, you'll have:

  • Experience in the hotel sector, including knowledge of health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation 
  • Experience of providing excellent customer service, value for money, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement 
  • Good people management skills, and a track record of contributing to the development of multi-functioning teams

Senior Receptionist

£23,500 | 35 hours per week (working pattern includes part weekend work) | Ambleside, Cumbria

Are you a highly organised and friendly individual with excellent communication skills? Brathay is seeking an experienced Senior Receptionist to join our team.

Brathay’s reception is the first port of call for an array of internal and external guests, clients and staff – it’s a hub of activity, where no two days are the same! As such, you'll strive to establish a friendly, courteous and helpful environment in which the needs of all our customers are accommodated.

To excel in this role, you'll have:

  • Experience of providing excellent customer service: smart, approachable and flexible.
  • Numerate, accurate, and willing to develop an understanding of basic business finance.
  • A professional and courteous manner (face to face, telephone, and email), with previous experience of dealing with sensitive data.
  • Excellent team-working and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
  • Competent and proficient user of spread sheets, word processing, and (CRM) databases, preferably MS Office.

Area Team Manager

£34,000-£36,000 | 35 hours per week | Ambleside, Cumbria with area responsibilities covering Westmorland and Furness

Do you have the skills to lead a dynamic team across a large geographical area, managing impactful community programmes which support young people to build their brighter future?

We’re looking for an experienced manager to drive the operational aspects of our community youth programmes, within our Children and Young People's Services department.

To excel in this role, you'll have:

  • Relevant professional or postgraduate qualification and extensive experience in a relevant field.
  • Level 2 (minimum) Safeguarding qualification.
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Current driving licence
  • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of the children’s services landscape.
  • Proven high-quality line management experience and practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering outcomes for children, young people, and families.
  • Experience in managing and prioritising complex and competing demands. 
  • Ability to build and maintain effective external client relationships.
  • Experience in managing and monitoring and reporting on budgets.

Business Development Executive

£24,000 | 35 hours per week | Fixed Term Contract (9-12 Months' Maternity Cover) | Ambleside, Cumbria

We're hiring a Business Development Executive. Location: Ambleside, Cumbria. Hours: 35 hours per week. Fixed Term Contact for 9-12 months Maternity Cover. Salary: £24,000.

General Assistant

£23,795.20 per annum | 40 hours per week | Ambleside

Our Guest Services team plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for all our guests, including big corporations, children and young people on residentials, B&B accommodation guests, and staff. Our hospitality experience is not just about serving guests; it's about creating moments that matter and contributing to a purpose-driven workplace.

We're hiring a General Assistant. Location: Ambleside, Cumbria. Hours: 40 hours per week. Salary: £23,795 per annum

Management Accountant

£35,000-£37,000 pro-rata | 21 hours per week (part-time) | Ambleside

Reporting to the Head of Finance and managing two experienced Finance Officers, the Management Accountant will oversee the accounting function and financial procedures, preparing management accounts, forecasts and budgets. 

If you are driven by data, have strong analytical skills, scrupulous attention to detail, and are highly organised, then we encourage you to apply.

To excel in this role, you'll have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification or qualified by experience
  • Experience of managing financial ledgers, systems and processes
  • Experience of preparing management accounts and budgets
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, and the ability to manage large amounts of data
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels, including non-finance members of staff
We're hiring a Management Accountant. Location, Ambleside, Cumbria. Hours, 21 hours per week (part time). Salary, £35,00 to £37,000 pro rata.

Casual/Seasonal General Assistant or Housekeepers
