Voluntary Work

Brathay recognises the value of offering volunteering opportunities, which offer individuals experience and personal development opportunities, as well as giving them the opportunity to give something back to their local community. Brathay recruits volunteers as part of its plans to broaden and expand the involvement of the community in its work.

Get involved and support a local children’s charity and help the environment – all in one go!

We’re looking for volunteers to have join our team in finding creative and imaginative ways to improve the impact we have on the environment.

At Brathay we’ve got our head office and residential sites in Ambleside, together with community centres in Barrow and Bradford. We’re also involved in a range of different activities - working with children and young people, leadership and talent development, events and welcoming a variety of individuals on to our site. We’re looking for a volunteer to work alongside our Estates team and who could help us move some of our basic projects forward. We need someone with a day per week to spare between now and Christmas.

We don’t particularly need someone with an environmental background, but passion for a better world would help, as would general organisational skills and a desire to work with a team solving problems and implementing solutions.

Click on Request A Call opposite if you’d like us to email or call you. Select ‘Volunteering’ as your nature of enquiry and someone will get back soon.

Brathay is 75 this year!

We work with young people, families, employers and employees, to enhance wellbeing and create long-lasting personal change.
