The Brathay Bursary
Transforming Lives One Adventure At A Time

The Brathay Bursary breaks down financial barriers to help young people experience and benefit from an outdoor residential at our dedicated Lake District centre.

It is a discretionary fund that allows Brathay to support young people with the costs of attending a residential when their schools or families can’t.

Through our transformative residentials we inspire young people to positively engage with learning by providing fun and meaningful hands-on experiences. The aim is to foster critical thinking, problem solving skills and emotional intelligence.

Our distinct approach places young people’s mental health and social development at its heart. Working with our qualified and experienced team they build confidence and resilience so they can make positive choices and lead fulfilling lives.

Donate to the Brathay Bursary and help us reach our 5-year goal to support 5000 more young people from across the UK:

  • £3,000 will support up to 10 young people to attend a 3-day residential
  • £15,000 will support 50 young people to attend a 3-day residential
  • £45,000 will support up to 150 young people to attend a 3-day residential

You can change a young person’s life and help create a brighter future for the next generation.
