At no point in history have we been exposed to as much information as we are today.
We access it from ever-changing streams which – as we are learning – are open to corruption and bias. Young People are at increased risk of these harmful practices and will often rely on practitioners around them to guide them through the maze of disinformation and conflicting agendas.
This seminar, by Nathan Erskine, will discuss the starting point in this practice; that is the need for professionals to arm themselves with trustworthy sources of information as well as engaging with a wide variety of data – even if they disagree with the content.
This seminar is run in partnership with the University of Cumbria.
