We believe every young person in Primary school should be able to experience outdoor adventure within their curriculum. That’s why we’ve designed three fun-filled packages specifically for Key Stage 1 and 2, focusing on the challenges they face in an engaging and memorable way.
Before you come to us, you’ll have a chat with our team to share what you want to achieve from this residential. We’ll listen carefully and shape the experience to fit your group.
For 11-year-olds, moving from primary to secondary school can be tough. This programme helps build key skills to ease the transition and help them thrive in their new school. Focused on:
- Resilience

- Celebrating post SATs and preparing for secondary school
- Time for fun and making memories
- Combining adventure with moments of reflection
The Lake District National Park offers rich history, natural environments and interesting geographic sites. We can design this programme around a specific natural or historical topic to enhance the learning your pupils are doing in the classroom. It’s all about being young explorers!

We believe that financial barriers should not stop young people from benefiting from a life-changing residential experience. The Brathay Bursary offers discretionary funds to help you and your students with the cost of attending an outdoor residential at our Lake District centre.
