As the pioneers of outdoor education, a residential or day programme at Brathay is like no other. We inspire and empower young people to fully engage with their experiences, helping them to lead their own learning — because we know the most impactful lessons are the ones they create themselves.
We're lucky to be in the heart of the Lake District National Park, at the Brathay Hall estate. It offers excellent access to fells, lakes and plenty of space for on-site adventure

Our Approach
We know no two people are the same, and that goes for young people too. Our fully qualified facilitators are exceptional and able to adapt and respond to make sure that every young person has a memorable time with us. They know how to step back, just enough to let the young people take the reins, helping them discover their potential.

Looking for funding?
We believe that financial barriers should not stop young people from benefiting from a life-changing residential experience.

The Brathay Bursary
We also offer our own financial support through the Brathay Bursary, a discretionary fund designed to help schools and youth groups with the cost of attending an outdoor residential at our Lake District centre.
