Superior Scafell Lodges

• Large, light, and spacious luxurious rooms overlooking the estate. Features include a comfy king-sized bed or twin beds, spacious en-suite, lounge area, and TV.

Brathay Hall Standard Rooms

• Located in or near the main hall, these rooms feature a comfy king-sized bed or twin singles, en-suite, TV, and hot drinks facilities. Lake-side views are available for an additional cost.

Single En-Suites

• Ideal for solo travellers, these huts are located in a quiet wooded area near the main hall. Features include standard-sized single beds, en-suite shower, TV, hot drinks facilities, dedicated parking with EV charging points.

Prefer the freedom of self-catering? Our characterful properties are an excellent choice. With mostly bunk-style rooms, they are perfect for larger groups ready to explore the sites of the Lake District.

Jiffy Knotts (Sleeps 2 to 4)

• Two-story Victorian mid-terrace, with two double rooms.
• Cosy living room, fully-fitted kitchen, downstairs bathroom and utility room.
• South-facing garden with local woodland walks and river trails.

Hestead House (Sleeps 9)

• Two-story cottage with an en-suite twin room, 4-bed bunk room, single room and a second twin room with accessible wet room.
• Family bathroom upstairs.
• Also includes a fully fitted kitchen-diner and a large lounge with TV.

Lingmoor (Sleeps 20)

• Overlooking the River Brathay, this building accommodates up to 20 people with four bunk-style dormitories and two twin bedrooms.
• Includes a small fitted kitchen, large lounge/group room with dining space, comfy sofas, games, and TV.
• For larger groups, combine with Old Brathay to sleep up to 59 people across two buildings, with access to a kitchen and dining space for up to 70 people.

Shackleton Lodge (Sleeps 32)

• Situated in its own woodland setting with dedicated parking and outdoor space.
• Accommodates up to 32 people in bunk-style dormitories.
• Features a fully fitted kitchen and dining block nearby, built-in BBQ, large lounge area, refreshment station, TV, two shower/toilet blocks, and an accessible toilet/shower room.

Old Brathay (Sleeps 39)

• Our largest property, a grand house overlooking the River Brathay, accommodates up to 39 people in bunk-style dormitories and one accessible single room with accessible wet room and toilet.
• Features three lounge areas with TVs, comfy seating and games, a dry room, and a small kitchenette for refreshments.
• Dedicated parking.
• Little Brathay attached is a large kitchen/dining room for up to 70 people and is included in the hire of Old Brathay.
• For larger groups, add Lingmoor to sleep up to 59 people across two buildings.

Looking for a simple base to explore the Lake District? Pitch up your campervan or caravan at one of our electric hook-ups. A peaceful setting surrounded by fells, walking routes and outdoor adventures. With Ambleside just a mile away, you'll be perfectly placed to discover all that the area has to offer. Please note that washing and toilet facilities are not provided.
