Each year, we work with young people from across the UK at our residential centres in the Lake District and from our bases in the north of England.

Many of them are facing particular challenges; managing the transition from living in care to independence, risking exploitation in unhealthy relationships or lacking the confidence to find work or training. All of them need support and inspiration to fulfil their potential.

A gift to the Transforming Young Lives appeal allows us to work with vulnerable young people both in their communities and on residential trips across a variety of programmes.

It’s not just a donation to one Brathay project – it’s a donation to all of them.

When I got involved with Brathay I was in a very bad place; I had no work prospects and was in serious trouble with bad people. The staff helped me set goals with clear steps I’m following to get myself back on track. Thanks to the tireless support from the Brathay staff, who’ve stuck with me and helped me through the highs and the lows, I’m now looking forward to a brighter and better future.

We transform many young lives like Cameron’s every year. The Transforming Young Lives appeal aims to raise £100,000 so we can make a difference to other young people like him.
