Brathay: A brief history

In 1946, Francis Scott, a successful businessman, founded the Brathay Hall Trust;

...for the education... of young persons of both sexes from industry... for research into questions affecting the education of such persons... for the instruction of staff... and for any other (related) charitable purposes...

Brathay Trust now works in many fields, extending Scott’s original vision to meet the needs of today. We are driven by the same holistic approach: to improve the life chances of children, young people and families by inspiring them to engage positively in their communities.
