A new project, called On Trax, starts in July 2016 and is open to all NEET (not in education, employment or training) young people aged 16-25 in the Sheffield area, offering a chance to learn new skills, take part in a residential in the Lake District and gain a qualification.

The programme offers young people who have an interest in writing and recording music an exciting opportunity to learn about working in the music industry, and is fully funded. No experience or skills are required just an apetite to learn and an interest in exploring their talents and options. On Trax is run from the U-Mix centre in Sheffield with access to musical equipment, recording software and a state of the art recording studio.

On Trax will run over 12 months and includes a residential to Brathay Hall in the inspiring Lake District. There is also the opportuity to achieve a bronze or silver level Arts Award.
