I have paid my entry fee, why are you asking me to fundraise for Brathay Trust as well? The #BrathayRunning events are Brathay’s flagship fundraising events. The sponsorship raised by runners each year helps to improve the life chances of children and young people, however your entry fee only covers the cost of the organising the event itself. It is used to pay for things like temporary road closures, 1st aid provision on the course, water etc. Every extra £1 you are able raise in sponsorship will go towards helping those young people most in need. All contributions, large or small, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!How can I receive a refund on my entry fee if I fundraise for Brathay? We are able to offer refunds of entry fees (excluding carpark tickets) to participants who raise over £175 for the Marathon and £100 for the Half Marathon. To receive the refund participants must fulfil the following conditions: - Sponsorship must be fully received by Brathay Trust by 1st August 2016 before a refund of the entry fee is considered.- A refund will not be offered automatically – participants must contact the BrathayRunning team to request this on firstname.lastname@example.org Can I stay at Brathay before the race?
