FREE Taster Day at Brathay Hall on 30 September 2008

BRATHAY is hosting a Taster Day to enable those who manage, or are members of, multi agency teams to discover more about the NCSL Multi Agency Team Development (MATD) Programme.

The MATD Taster Day on 30 September 2008 at Brathay Hall is open to anyone in the North of England (Government Office regions North East, North West and Yorkshire and Humber).

The MATD Programme is designed to develop multi agency teams at any stage of formation and of all types, including:

• co-located teams perhaps based at a Children’s Centre or Extended School
• virtual teams, perhaps covering a large geographic area
• specialist teams (e.g. BESTs, YOTs and IYSS and LAC teams) and
• high-level multi agency teams that direct the work of teams on the ground
(e.g. a Multi Agency Advisory Panel or Children’s Centre Board)

Taster Day Programme

• Welcome and Introduction to the NCSL MATD Programme
• Icebreaker
• Facilitated activity from the MATD Programme
• Forum Theatre (multi agency working)
• Review and Reflection
• Forum Theatre (giving positive feedback)
• Refection and Discussion
• Presentation from a MATD Programme Participant
• Q&A session
The MATD Taster Day will also enable delegates to find out more about Brathay and our own programmes for the Children’s Workforce, and for children and young people.

An informal networking evening with dinner and is open to all MATD Taster Day delegates on Monday 29 September 2008 and accommodation and breakfast will be provided at Brathay Hall.
