TTE Training Ltd are one the UK's leading providers of Apprenticeship and Modern Apprenticeships to the chemical, power, pharmaceutical and food industries. Their aim is to meet the recognised skill shortage in these sectors through excellent functional training. To ensure the apprentices had all the skills they required to be truly effective employees TTE asked Brathay to provide a personal development element to their programme.
The Whole Person Development Programme
Brathay worked closely with TTE to develop a unique 3 year Personal Development programme. Using a variety of outdoor, creative and mental challenges the young apprentices gained deeper personal understanding, identified and practised new behaviours and met personal challenges within a novel physical environment.
The 1st year focused on personal awareness, increasing self confidence and introducing the basics of team working. In the 2nd year, Apprentices built on the learning and further experience gained at TTE and whilst at work in their sponsoring companies. They were introduced to team dynamics, personal accountability and continuous performance improvement. The 3rd and final year, looked at the skills of influencing others, leading groups and networking.
The experience gained in each of these programmes was carefully facilitated and the learning skilfully related back to the real world and workplace.
