I work for a medium-sized City law firm, as a Legal PA in the Corporate Department. I also run for the 100 Marathon Club and I am a keen crafter, and the latter helps with my fundraising. I’m not a natural sportswoman, I am very much at the plodding end of the field but we can't all be racing whippets!

Taking up running 16 years ago, after my Dad's death, I’ve now run 171 marathons and ultra-marathons and I hope to hit the 200 mark before day 10 next May. I’ve followed the 10in10 since it first started, and I became really hooked by it as more and more of my friends began taking part in it. After a traumatic start to 2011, with my Mum's declining health and tragic death at the beginning of May, I decided to enter my first 10in10 in 2012.

I am now looking forward to becoming the first lady to complete the Brathay 10in10 four times. I feel very lucky to have had a supportive and stable upbringing, but I know that there are many children, and young people, who aren't that fortunate. For them the work that Brathay Trust does is hugely important, especially in such difficult financial times.
